The Brownish-Black variety of quartz.
What is quartz?
An abundant mineral species used extensively in jewellery making. It has a large variety of colours ranging from yellow (citrine) to purple (amethyst).
What is the gem’s main symbolism?
- Crystal Healing: Quartz is considered the main healing gem by many due to its diverse property range. Within crystal healing, it’s thought by some to both be a gem that brings balance to one’s life as well as protection.
- Chakra: Due to its believed grounding nature, smoky quartz is viewed as one that balances your ‘root’ chakra responsible around the feet.
